Shiver me Timbers! Master storyteller Jason Stevens returns to the Castle to tell one of the most raucous  and best-known adventure tales in western literature - Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island".  This fast-moving story of buccaneers and gold, treasure maps and stowaways, will blast away your winter cobwebs. Treasure Island has powerfully influenced how modern audiences think of pirates and is one of the most dramatized "coming of age" adventure stories of all time: don't miss your chance to hear this tall tale in the Castle ballroom, where Jason will bring Long John Silver, Ben Gunn, Black Dog and other infamous characters to life as only he can.    Performances are suitable for older children aged 10 and above. There are no special effects, props, lights or soundtrack. This is storytelling in its traditional form, as it would have been performed in 1883 when Treasure Island was first published. The performance will be in the dance hall on the Castle’s 4th floor is approximately one hour in length. There are 87 stairs and no ramps or elevators.
