Purchase self-guided tour tickets in our Visitor Centre when you arrive.

We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Debit.

Proceeds from admission fund the ongoing restoration of the Castle.

Admission includes the use of our private parking lot.

Discounted Admission for Indigenous people, Canadian Military, Access 2 Card, Canadian Essential Workers (Fire, Police, Medical, Teachers)

Rates:

  • Adults – $22.50

  • Seniors (65+) – $19.60

  • Post-secondary students (18 + with Valid ID) – $18.50

  • Youth (12-17) – $14.80

  • Children (4-11) – $10.00

  • Children 3 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult

Accessibility

Please remember that Craigdarroch Castle is a historic house museum and, as such, there are no ramps or elevators and it is not wheelchair accessible. Visitors are encouraged to leave personal possessions (coats, backpacks, and strollers) in their vehicle.

Certified guide and service dogs are welcome in the Castle. Please visit Guide Dog and Service Dog Certification for more information, or if you have questions about certification requirements.

Private Guided Tours

A private 60 minute tour allows you to have your own personal and knowledgeable guide lead you through the castle’s lavish rooms, adorned with intricate woodwork, stained glass windows, and period furnishings. You will hear captivating stories of the Dunsmuir family, who built this architectural masterpiece in the late 19th century, and learn about the castle’s fascinating history and its role in the local community.

Maps & Directions

The Castle is located just off Fort Street on Joan Crescent, close to downtown Victoria. Getting here is a pleasant 20-minute walk along Fort Street — an experience unto itself with boutiques, bistros and antique shops lining the street. Ample parking is located on site. Fort Street is also a bus route and has dedicated bike lanes.
