Craigdarroch Castle was built for entertaining and is a unique choice to celebrate your wedding, corporate party or special event.
Craigdarroch Castle is best suited to a stand-up cocktail-style reception, the Castle can hold as many as 150 guests.
If you would like to hold your wedding ceremony here we can accommodate a maximum of 20 guests in the Library, 30–60 guests for an alcove wedding, or 40–50 seated guests for a ceremony in the dance hall.
Gardens & Grounds
The use of the South Lawn is available to the public free of charge for personal use only. For special events, the base rental fee begins at $1000 + tax * and goes up from there depending upon event size. This fee permits the use of our private parking lot, permission to install chairs, sporting equipment, decorations, tents, portable facilities, etc.
* The fee does not include access to the facilities in Craigdarroch Castle or any rentals.
The 78,000 square foot South Lawn has been recently re-graded and an irrigation system was installed allowing for green grass throughout the summer. Close to downtown and with the Castle in the background, the South Lawn is an ideal space for your special event. We work with local party and tent rental companies who can provide customized options for your event.
Please remember that as The Castle is situated in a residential neighbourhood there is a by-law in effect that restricts noise levels after 10pm.
