Purchase self-guided tour tickets online using the link below or in our Visitor Centre when you arrive.

Proceeds from admission go towards the ongoing restoration and preservation of the Castle.

Admission includes the use of our private parking lot.

Discounted Admission for Indigenous people, Canadian Military, Access 2 Card, and Canadian Essential Workers (Fire, Police, Medical, Teachers)

We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Debit.

Rates:

  • Adults — $24.50

  • Seniors (65+) — $22.00

  • Post-secondary students (18 + with Valid ID) — $22.00

  • Youth (12-17) — $16.50

  • Children (4-11) — $11.50

  • Children 3 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult

Personalized Guided Tours

Your knowledgeable guide will lead you through the Castle on a personal tour that can be adapted to your interests. Experience Craigdarroch’s lavish rooms adorned with intricate woodwork, stained glass windows, and period furnishings. You will hear captivating stories of the Dunsmuir family who built this architectural masterpiece in the late 19th century and learn about the Castle’s fascinating layers of history and its role in the local community.

The cost is applicable admission rates plus $50 for the guide.

Accessibility

Please remember that Craigdarroch Castle is a historic house museum and, as such, there are no ramps or elevators and it is not wheelchair accessible. Visitors are encouraged to leave personal possessions (coats, backpacks, and strollers) in their vehicle.

Certified guide and service dogs are welcome in the Castle. Please visit Guide Dog and Service Dog Certification for more information, or if you have questions about certification requirements.

The Castle is a 2 kilometre walk from downtown Victoria, located just off Fort Street on Joan Crescent. It is a steady incline up Fort Street an experience unto itself with boutiques, bistros, and antique shops lining the street. Fort Street is also on a bus route and has dedicated bike lanes. Free parking is located on site.
